Dr. Harvey Carter founded the Carter Eye Center in 1986, and has since been providing vision correction surgeries to residents in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. He is one of the most well known physicians in North Texas and has been a leader in new surgical technologies since the first day his practice opened. Dr. Carter has performed more than 20,000 successful vision correction procedures and is a highly skilled cataract surgeon.
Dr. Carter received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, in 1978, and was awarded his medical degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La., in 1982. He then completed his internship in 1983 at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Texas, and later concluded his residency with the Medical College of Georgia in 1986, in Augusta, Ga.
Dr. Carter is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, International Society of Refractive Surgery, Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology.
